Click here to read a great article (in Spanish) about the Dead Daisies ground breaking trip to Cuba and how it influenced the recent visit by The Rolling Stones to Cuba ~

The band The Dead Daisies wants to repeat his trip to Cuba later this year and is "very proud" to have drawn the attention of other famous groups like own Rolling Stones, says Marco Mendoza, bassist of the American supergroup, in interview telephone with Granma from the US city of Los Angeles.

"We are very proud to have attracted the attention of famous bands like the Rolling themselves Stones, who realized the event and encouraged to play in Cuba," says legendary American musician of Mexican origin, who is part of The Dead Daisies with Bernard Fowler and Darryl Jones of the Rolling Stones; Dizzy Reed and Richard Fortus of Guns N 'Roses; John Corabi, Motley Crue; Brian Tich, Whitesnake and Ozzy Osbourne, and David Lowy, Red Phoenix.

The band gave two concerts in Havana in February 2015 at the Maxim Rock, headquarters of the Cuban Rock Agency, and the Salon Rosado de la Tropical, where they shared the stage with Beatrix Lopez, David Blanco and Roberto Perdomo, among other musicians . "They were very healthy collaborations with Cuban rock musicians. They are artists full of passion and talent. We liked to record with them, "says Mendoza.

Bernard Fowler singer and bassist Darryl Jones, as stated, alternate their commitments to the Rolling Stones work in Dead Daisies. Both musicians assured in Havana that would talk with Jagger and Keith Richards about his experiences in Cuba and would encourage travel to the island with the Rolling. "Bernard spoke with them about the possibility of a presentation in Cuba and was organizing idea. We are very excited about the concert that finally offered the Rolling. They are very humble and professional musicians. It will be an amazing place to encourage Cubans who visit other large groups right now, "he says.

Born in 1963 in California, she says bassist Dead Daisies hopes to return to Cuba soon alongside other rock heavyweights like Kiss or Whitesnake. "We've been touring with Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Kiss and we would go with them to Cuba. That idea we are thinking hard and hope to concretize before year-end. Def Leppard and Kiss always ask us what we have to do to play in Cuba, "he says.

During his visit the band recorded two songs from their second album released in 2015 under the name Revolution. "The album we started recording in Cuba. We motivated the passion of the people and their culture. There is no doubt that this album was inspired by the trip to Cuba. On the other hand, we feel that the music industry is in a bad moment and wanted to carry out our own revolution. "

The Dead Daisies just finished recording their third album due out in August and September."We just record a new album. It has no title yet but we have many songs. The truth is that Dead Daises still together as a band because we intend to grow as artists and musicians. We'll keep for a long time and go on playing our music and giving concerts around the world, "said Mendoza.

"The Rolling Stones will not withdraw from the stage in a long time. They are fine and will be acting more than any other band in history ", says Granma production director of the famous British group, Dale Skjerseth, on a tour of the grounds of the capital's sports complex where it is already the stage for the highly anticipated Stones concert, on 25 March.

Dale, who has worked with the Rolling since 1995, hopes the concert in Havana break the attendance record of the on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, a show that met in 2006 to more than 1.3 million fans from all over Brazil and abroad as part of the Bigger Bang world tour."They are eager to come to deliver their music to the Cuban people. I hope to break attendance record in Havana, "he says.

The concert in Havana, where he will share the stage with the choir Entrevoces, directed by Digna Guerra, will be the end point of the tour by the Rolling Latin America that started last February under the name Olé Tour. The last stop of the band before landing in Havana was in Mexico where they dispatched two large concerts in which they put to boil the audience with classics like Gimme Shelter and Satisfaction. "Every night they change the show but not stop playing the classics. Are great concerts in which wasted a lot of energy, "he explains.

Dale says the concert will be "surprising" and that attendees "will never see something like this .""In Cuba you will never again see something like what will happen at the concert. It will be an amazing show. There will be no opening act for the Rolling Stones want the night to themselves. "
The producer explains that he has received great support from Cuba and is" very satisfied "with the way it has advanced the preparation of the concert. "Cuba opened the doors from the beginning. We have received the full support of the Cuban authorities and has been a challenge to learn and to teach people how to work. "

For Rolling says, this concert will be something very special. "The visit to Cuba will be something special for them. We've brought everything. A Rolling like to travel with their own equipment. We also know that all they have done throughout its history has become a milestone ".
The show will not be broadcast live on television because they do not allow the image rights of the band, but will be recorded by the team Stones in a documentary, which could then be projected on the island.

The doors of the Sports City will open to the public on Friday 25 from 2:00 pm The concert will begin at 8:30 pm and will last two hours and 15 minutes, but Dale does not rule out the possibility that lengthen a little plus. "If it spreads it will only band decision. I know they will talk to Cuban rockers and the audience from the stage, from music. It will be something impressive. "

Doug Aldrich joins, Richard Fortus & Dizzy Reed depart ~

New York, NY (January 28th, 2016) - The Dead Daisies are proud to announce the addition of Doug Aldrich to the lineup as lead guitarist of the powerful music collective. Guitarist Richard Fortus and keyboardist Dizzy Reed will be stepping aside to be a part of a momentous project in 2016.

Aldrich is currently in Nashville with the Daisies working with producer Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Gavin Rossdale, Motley Crue, Buckcherry) on their follow up to the album Revolucion, released last year following the bands trip to Cuba, where the classic rock group were part of a cultural exchange as guests of the Cuban Ministry of Culture, Cuban Institute of Music and the Cuban Rock Agency. The still untitled album will be released globally on SPV Records later this year.
Aldrich joins bassist Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), guitarist David Lowy (MINK, Red Phoenix), John Corabi (Motley Crue, The Scream) on vocals and Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol) on drums.

"I'm very, very happy to join my friends Marco, Brian, John and David in the next chapter of The Dead Daisies," proclaims Aldrich. "I love the band and I'm looking forward to getting busy on the new record. This band is bringing back a raw, back to the bones sound that a lot of groups go for but The Dead Daisies are looking to nail. At this point in time, we are looking to have a kick ass Rock 'n' Roll album in the can by spring 2016."

Fortus couldn't be happier, saying: "When we started speaking about finding someone to replace me, the first suggestion I had was Doug Aldrich. It doesn't get any better than Doug in my book. I am so happy that he is able and willing to step in and take over. I think that it will elevate the band to the next level. Thanks to everyone that has supported the Daisies over the last couple of years. Stay tuned to see what they come up with next. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!"

David Lowy, one of the original founders of The Dead Daisies said: "We're really going to miss Richard and Dizzy. It's been a privilege and a pleasure to write, record and perform with such talented world-class musicians and all-around great guys. I've personally learnt so much from both of them. We're very excited to announce Doug Aldrich will be joining The Dead Daisies in the lead guitar role. Doug was Richard's first pick to replace him. He's a highly accomplished musician, performer and songwriter and we're really looking forward to Doug joining us as the Dead Daisies adventure rolls on."

Marco Mendoza couldn't be more excited as well of course. "Doug and I shared the stage for many years with Whitesnake and have been involved in many recording sessions and projects. He is a powerful guitar player and performer, can't wait to bring him in on our next efforts in the studio and on the road. VIVA LA ROCK!"

Since exploding onto the scene in 2013, The Dead Daisies have taken the Classic Rock world by storm, releasing two albums to date & touring with the biggest names in rock including: ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Judas Priest, KISS and Def Leppard. 2015 was a banner year that saw the band release their 2nd album, make a historic visit to Cuba, join the line-up for some of the biggest European Rock Festivals including Download and Graspop, tour around the globe with Whitesnake and KISS as well as play a sold out triumphant headline show in Paris. The band then returned to the UK for the first time in two years to play a series of Sold Out club shows, including the special guest slot at Planet Rock Stock in Wales.

With the year having just started, The Dead Daisies are well underway to continue to rewrite the book on Classic Rock. With a killer new album in the works, massive touring being booked and fueled by their ever-growing fan base, the band is showing no signs of letting up.
Rock 'n' Roll is alive and well!!!
